Dr. Bhargav Vaidya
I am an Assistant Professor at the Centre of Astronomy at Indian Institute of Technology. I am interested in study of Astrophysical plasma flows using numerical simulations. In particular, my research interests include study of astrophysical jets from young stars and Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), accretion disks, interaction of shocks in Astrophysical environments.
My main focus has been to bridge the gaps between numerical simulations of Astrophysical plasma flows with their multi-wavelength observational signatures.
I am part of the development team of a widely popular Astrophyics code called PLUTOExplore
I am looking for motivated students for PhD in the Computational Astrophysics. Interested Candidates can directly contact me for more details.
I am also accepting applications for Summer 2018 internship.
