About Me

Dr. Bhargav Vaidya

Head, Partner Group with Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, Heidelberg

I am an Associate Professor at the Disciple of Astronomy, Astrophysics and Space Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Indore.

I am interested to study Astrophysical and space plasma flows using numerical simulations. In particular, my research interests include multi-messenger study of astrophysical jets from Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), space weather modelling, interplay of shocks, turbulence and associated particle acceleration processes in Astrophysical and Heliospheric environments.

The current research focus has been to bridge the gaps between numerical simulations of Astrophysical plasma flows with their multi-wavelength observational signatures. Additionally, to develop space weather modelling framework for assessment of in-sity data from Aditya L1, India's first observatory class mission to study the Sun.

I am part of the development team of a widely popular Astrophyics code called PLUTO
