the Course |
Now-a-days, several applications
like ecommerce,
military communication, virtual computing, etc. rely on the Internet
due its low cost and any time
connectivity. Advancement of communication technology and diversity of
devices connecting to Internet introduces several privacy and security
risks. Lot of research effort has gone in developing methodologies to
address these risks. First part of this course introduces the detection
and prevention methods of network security issues. It includes security
issues in Voice over IP (VoIP), DHCP and IP. Cloud computing is a
virtual platform for computing and emerges as a new paradigm for
dynamic computing. It brings additional security and privacy issues.
Hence, the second part of this course presents the recent developments
in addressing the security concerns of Cloud computing.
