Brief Bio:
With Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science (from Virginia Tech, USA), Dr. Ahuja received his postdoctoral training from the Max Planck Institute in Magdeburg, Germany. Since then, he has established his independent research program in Mathematics of Data Science and Simulation at IIT Indore, where he is currently working as an Associate Professor in CSE. In the recent past, he has also held visiting professor positions at TU Braunschweig (Germany), TU Dresden (Germany), and Sandia National Labs (USA). Dr. Ahuja's research output includes external funding worth more than 4.25 Crores INR and about forty publications.

On teaching end, Dr. Ahuja has taught fourteen distinct courses and has received the Best Teacher Award four times at IIT Indore. As a service to the academic community, Dr. Ahuja is on the editorial board of a SCI journal, has organized ten conferences, and has reviewed papers for fifteen journals.

Dr. Ahuja have substantially contributed to the growth of the institutions that he has been associated with by holding multiple administrative positions. Besides heading CSE@IIT Indore, Dr. Ahuja's biggest administrative contribution at IIT Indore has been in increasing IIT Indore’s international footprint. This started in 2015 when he was asked to lead the Indo-German initiative where he was instrumental in signing of MoU between IIT Indore and six of the nine TU9s. In 2017, he scaled it worldwide in his capacity as the founding Dean of International Affairs until end of 2020.
