Niraj Kumar Shukla was born in a village of Allahabad in 1982. After completing his school education,
he joined University of Allahabad to complete his Bachelors (C.M.P. College) and Masters Degree in mathematics in 2002 and 2004 respectively.
He started his research work under the supervision of Prof. K. K. Azad. He worked in the area of wavelets, particular multiresolution analysis,
scaling sets, wavelet sets, non-MSF wavelets and its some topological behavior. After pursuing the D. Phil. Degree (CSIR-JRF & SRF fellowship) in Nov 01, 2010 from the same University,
he worked as a Guest faculty in the Department of Mathematics, University of Allahabad for the academic year 2010-2011. Between March, 2011 and March, 2012,
he offered courses (both at UG & PG level) in Mathematics at R.K.G.I.T. Ghaziabad, Galgotias University, U.C.E.R. Allahabad, and Central University of Bihar, Patna.
Presently, he is working as a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at IIT Indore. His research interest is Wavelet, Frame, and Harmonic Analysis.
