The Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) is an institute of national importance established by the Government of India in 2009 as part of the new generation of IITs. Located on a 501-acre residential campus at Simrol near Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the institute has rapidly evolved into a leading centre for education, research, and innovation in science, engineering, and humanities.

Mentored initially by IIT Bombay and starting from a temporary campus in the city, IIT Indore moved to its permanent campus in 2016, where it now houses state-of-the-art academic infrastructure, advanced research laboratories, modern lecture halls, student residences, and comprehensive campus amenities.
