The internally converted students of dual degree Program will be awarded the M.Tech./ M.Sc. degree with the wordings as follows: "Indian Institute of Technology Indore upon recommendation of the Senate hereby confers the degree of M.Tech./ M.Sc. in recognition of completion of the prescribed requirements for the said degree (and partial fulfillment towards the M.Tech./ M.Sc. and Ph.D. dual degree program)."

For such students, the research component of their Master's project work may be included as part of their Ph.D. thesis, when they continue research on the same area and topic as their Master's thesis.
