IIT Indore invites applications and proposals from young faculty members under the Young Faculty Research Seed Grant (YFRSG) Scheme. This scheme offers Research Seed Grants to new faculty members of the Institute as bridge funding before securing their first regular grant from external funding agencies.

• A seed grant of up to ₹10 lakhs (maximum) may be provided based on the merit of the proposal.
• The duration of project support is up to two years.
• The young faculty member (PI of the project) will execute the project and utilize the sanctioned funds in accordance with the Institute's purchase procedures.

1. Faculty members are encouraged to submit their proposals within two months of joining the Institute.
2. Only one application can be submitted during the faculty member's entire tenure.
3. Faculty with a pre-joining grant or who have received a grant immediately after joining the Institute are also eligible to apply.
4. DST Inspire Faculty and Ramanujan Fellows are not eligible for this grant.

This scheme aims to provide high-end research training by offering opportunities to visit leading institutions or universities worldwide for 1–2 months during vacation periods.

• A monthly allowance of USD 2000 to cover living expenses.
• Travel support as per actuals.
• Proposal submission must include a consent letter from the host university.
• The PI must adhere to the Institute's service rules.

This scheme supports young faculty members in working closely with undergraduate students enrolled at IIT Indore. Projects under this scheme must not interfere with students' academic responsibilities or degree requirements.

• Participation of at least 3 undergraduate students or 2 M.Sc. students are mandatory.
• Fellowship of ₹5,000 per month per student for up to 2 years (total ₹3,60,000).
• ₹40,000 for local travel and ₹1,00,000 for consumables and contingencies over 2 years.
• Maximum total support per faculty is ₹5,00,000.

• The applicant must be a student of IIT Indore (UG/PG/PhD).
• If the thesis has been submitted, the applicant must upload the thesis submission certificate.
• The fellowship will start after submitting the thesis submission certificate.

• UG & PG: ₹42,000 + HRA per month
• Ph.D.: ₹55,000 + HRA per month
