28 February 2020 IIT Indore is celebrating the National Science Day on Feb. 28, 2020, where several activities such as daily life physics experiments, chemical illusion, mathematical magic, biology talk, solar projection and glider activities, quizzes and puzzles will be organized for school kids
17 February 2020 located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, is an institute of national importance established by the Government of India in 2009, which has already emerged as a prominent research and teaching institute in the country. It is ranked 351-400 (3rd in India after the IISc Bangalore and IIT Ropar) in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020 and ranked 50 in the Times Higher Education Asian University Rankings 2019.
27 January 2020 Precast and prefabricated building construction is gaining importance nowadays due to the quality, speed of construction and economy. This type of construction is significantly different from conventional building construction. The purpose of this course is to enhance the knowledge of faculty members and field engineers about precast and prefabricated building construction. At the end of this course, the participants are expected to have a fair understanding of various aspects of precast building construction. COURSE CONTENTS: The short-term course aims to include the following topics: ➢ Precast Concrete Building Systems ➢ Prefabricated Steel Buildings ➢ Materials for Precast Elements ➢ Procurement for Precast Construction ➢ Production of Precast Elements ➢ Site Erection ➢ Quality Control in Precast Products ➢ Contractual Aspects of Precast Buildings ➢ Precast Frame Analysis ➢ Seismic Design of Precast Concrete Structures ➢ Precast Concrete Beams ➢ Precast Concrete Columns and Shear Walls ➢ Precast Horizontal Floor Diaphragms ➢ Joints and Connections in Precast Buildings ➢ Treatment of imperfection in precast elements ➢ Prefabricated classroom buildings ➢ Prefabricated dispensary buildings ➢ Prefabricated warehouses
20 January 2020 During the first billion years of its life, the Universe has gone through one of its most remarkable phase changes, known as the Cosmic Dawn and the Epoch of Reionization (CD-EoR).
Introduction to Scientific Computing in Engineering
Date:Details:
15 January 2020 The training course for the workshop has been designed to provide the theoretical background in programming language as well as a hands-on approach to Scientific Computing in various fields of Engineering. The workshop will also cover the use of different software (MATLAB, R) for solving real world problems.
14 January 2020 The Electron Microscopy workshop is organized to provide graduate and postgraduate-level students and researchers in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Bio-Science and allied fields with basic knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of Electron Microscopes: Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Transmission electron microscope (TEM). It includes lectures on theoretical aspects of Electron Microscopy followed by hands-on training sessions. The format and content of the training is tailored to suit the needs of practical microscopist routinely dealing with challenges of instrumental procedures, specimen preparation, data collection and quantification. This will provide a deeper understanding of the Physics underlying the electron microscopy, imaging and analysis
23 December 2019 The past decade has seen many advances in wireless communication theory such as multiple input multiple output (MIMO), multi-user MIMO, Network MIMO, massive MIMO, fullduplex radio, millimeter wave (mmWave) communications, etc., have recently gain considerable research attention. While some of the technologies have been implemented in cellular systems such as LTE/LTE-A, others are being considered for 5G and beyond. This course takes a unified view of the fundamentals of wireless communication and the recent developments and explains the concepts underpinning these advances at a level accessible to an audience with a basic background of digital communications.
