14 January 2020 The Electron Microscopy workshop is organized to provide graduate and postgraduate-level students and researchers in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Bio-Science and allied fields with basic knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of Electron Microscopes: Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Transmission electron microscope (TEM). It includes lectures on theoretical aspects of Electron Microscopy followed by hands-on training sessions. The format and content of the training is tailored to suit the needs of practical microscopist routinely dealing with challenges of instrumental procedures, specimen preparation, data collection and quantification. This will provide a deeper understanding of the Physics underlying the electron microscopy, imaging and analysis
23 December 2019 The past decade has seen many advances in wireless communication theory such as multiple input multiple output (MIMO), multi-user MIMO, Network MIMO, massive MIMO, fullduplex radio, millimeter wave (mmWave) communications, etc., have recently gain considerable research attention. While some of the technologies have been implemented in cellular systems such as LTE/LTE-A, others are being considered for 5G and beyond. This course takes a unified view of the fundamentals of wireless communication and the recent developments and explains the concepts underpinning these advances at a level accessible to an audience with a basic background of digital communications.

30 November 2019 Data analytics is the art and science of teasing meaningful information and patterns out of large quantities of data. It combines statistical methods for identifying patterns in data and making inferences with a number of IT technologies, including database technologies for handling massive volumes of data, intelligent and smart systems technologies, visualization and other multimedia techniques that appeal to human pattern discovery capabilities. The course offers broad background to data analytics and data mining methods and their application in practice. It brings together the state-of-the-art research and practice in related areas and provides students with the necessary knowledge andcapacity to initiate and lead data analytics projects that can turn company data into commercially valuable information. REGISTRATION FEE There is no fee for participants (students/faculty) from TEQIP sponsored colleges. The nominations along with the registration forms must be sent through their coordinator to the e-mail address of course coordinator given below. Non-TEQIP Colleges: The fee is INR 2000 for students/research scholars, INR 4000 for faculty, and INR 6000 for participants from industry. If there are more than 3 participants from the same institute /organization/industry then fee is 50% of the actual for each participant. Registration fee includes course material, refreshment and working lunches. Early registration is recommended due to limited number of seats. Participants are required to bring their own laptops.
