Workshop on Precision, Micro and Nano Enigneering- TEQUIP III sponsored workshop
Date:Details:
20 December 2019 The miniaturized products/components and high precision requirements often demand innovative manufacturing methods, testing and characterization tools/techniques. Application of precision manufacturing in aerospace, automotive industries and advances in microelectronics and biomedical engineering, look to the processing of advanced materials and fabrication of functional surfaces. The overall challenge is to achieve a synergy among machining, forming and additive manufacturing techniques at micro, nano and meso scales
Photovoltaic Technology: From Devices towards Systems Under TEQIP-III
Date:Details:
16 December 2019 Exposing participants to the overall energy scenario in the world and Indian context, emphasizing need of renewable energy sources and understanding solar radiation.
12 December 2019 Miniaturized devices and complex design features with advanced materials have been in demand in recent years. These demands can be addressed through Precision Micro and Nano Engineering. Innovative manufacturing methods, modeling, characterization and testing are required for producing these miniaturized products/components
30 November 2019 Data analytics is the art and science of teasing meaningful information and patterns out of large quantities of data. It combines statistical methods for identifying patterns in data and making inferences with a number of IT technologies, including database technologies for handling massive volumes of data, intelligent and smart systems technologies, visualization and other multimedia techniques that appeal to human pattern discovery capabilities. The course offers broad background to data analytics and data mining methods and their application in practice. It brings together the state-of-the-art research and practice in related areas and provides students with the necessary knowledge andcapacity to initiate and lead data analytics projects that can turn company data into commercially valuable information. REGISTRATION FEE There is no fee for participants (students/faculty) from TEQIP sponsored colleges. The nominations along with the registration forms must be sent through their coordinator to the e-mail address of course coordinator given below. Non-TEQIP Colleges: The fee is INR 2000 for students/research scholars, INR 4000 for faculty, and INR 6000 for participants from industry. If there are more than 3 participants from the same institute /organization/industry then fee is 50% of the actual for each participant. Registration fee includes course material, refreshment and working lunches. Early registration is recommended due to limited number of seats. Participants are required to bring their own laptops.
12 November 2019 The International Conference on Computational Mathematics and its Applications (CMA 2019) will be held from November 12-14, 2019. This conference is meant for researchers from academia, industries and R&D organizations all over the globe interested in the areas of applied and computational mathematics. It will put special emphasis on the participations of PhD students, Postdoctoral fellows and other young researchers from India and abroad. This conference will also include keynote talks in the main areas.
03 November 2019 Reduction of CO2 emissions is of primary concern in power generation. This requires more efficient gas turbine cycles. Increase in efficiency can be achieved by higher pressure and higher turbine inlet temperatures or by completely new concepts. All of them need novel combustor technologies, allowing ultra-low emissions, fuel flexibility and stable operation over a wide operational range.
02 October 2019 Student Solar Ambassador (SSA) Workshop 2019 at IIT Indore We are happy to share details of the global event conducted at IIT Indore. We are requesting you to ask the students to participate for the Student Solar Ambassador (SSA) Workshop on 02 October 2019. Kindly, share the SSA workshop details with the student's committee of your institute for participation. Background: Today, the world is at the crossroads of a different energy scenario wherein, on the one side, energy access must provide to billions. While, on the other hand, increasing demand and usage of energy is causing catastrophic climate change. The 2018 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report finds that limiting global warming to 1.5°C would require “rapid and far-reaching” transitions in energy. There is a need to adopt 100% Renewable Energy as early as 2050 in the purview of the climate. Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7 calls for ensuring the access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. Only science and technology development will not be sufficient for sustainable existence on Earth. The Gandhi Global Solar Yatra (GGSY) is planned to promote self-sufficiency in energy for sustainability. It is high time that we pay gratitude and adopts Gandhian ideologies while celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary Year of Mahatma Gandhi. The Student Solar Ambassador (SSA) Program, the seed concept of the Gandhi Global Solar Yatra, aimed to sensitise the young (future) generations. A workshop is organised on 2nd October 2019 to train students and educate them towards solar energy. Over 80 countries would be joining the Student Solar Ambassador (SSA) workshop 2019. We are happy to invite all (min. age 11 years old) to become a part of the global event Student Solar Ambassador (SSA) Workshop 2019 at IIT Indore on 02 October 2019. In this workshop, participants will be getting a kit and hands-on training to assemble solar study lamp. The participants will own this solar study lamp after the event. A group of up to 5 students are allowed to get the training for assembly of one solar study lamp. The details of the event: Event: Student Solar Ambassador (SSA) workshop 2019 Date: 02 October 2019 Venue: IIT Indore
